THE BEGINNING
IT STARTED WITH A SIMPLE IDEA
In 2013, Coach Vitor “Coach V” Imbuzeiro had an idea: create an after-school basketball program at his children’s elementary school that would give kids an opportunity to play while also serving as a fundraiser for the school PTA.
As Coach V began putting the idea into action, he shared his plans with Coach Steve Claramunt. Steve immediately showed interest and joined him in the early stages of the program. Working alongside Coach V, Steve helped build the foundation of what would become a strong and lasting basketball program.
What started as a simple after-school basketball program soon became something much bigger — and marked the beginning of Always Basketball.
